SyrPetro 2026 attracts strong local and international participation
Damascus, July 9 (SANA)More than 120 Syrian, Arab and international companies are taking part in the eighth edition of the Syria International Petroleum, Energy and Mineral Resources Exhibition (SyrPetro 2026), showcasing projects and technologies aimed at supporting the country’s energy sector.
The exhibition, which opened Tuesday at theDamascusFairgrounds, brings together companies operating in the oil, gas, petroleum products and energy services sectors to explore investment opportunities and strengthen business cooperation.
Mohammad Nour al-Ahdab, director of the Media Department at theSyrian Petroleum Company, said the event provides a platform to present the company’s strategy for developing Syria’s oil and gas sector while promoting investment opportunities and expanding cooperation with regional and international partners.
Speaking to SANA, al-Ahdab said the participation of a large number of international and regional companies reflects Syria’s openness to cooperation with specialized firms and offers opportunities to build strategic partnerships based on investment, technology transfer and the exchange of expertise.
Hassan Ashour, chief executive of an oil services company, said his company is showcasing integrated oil and gas solutions and views the exhibition as an opportunity to strengthen ties with local and foreign companies and expand its business network.
Mohannad al-Tarah, public relations officer at Mahroukat Company (The Syrian Company for the Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products), said the company operates more than 130 fuel stations across Syria and is working to enhance energy services through the introduction of electric vehicle charging, electronic payment systems and full automation of its fuel stations.
The exhibition highlights investment opportunities and technological solutions as Syria seeks to develop its energy sector and attract new investment.
