Quneitra, July 9 (SANA)Israeli occupation forces advanced on Thursday into the village of Sida al-Golan in the southern countryside ofQuneitrabefore withdrawing, SANA’s reporter said.

The reporter said the force, consisting of three military vehicles, set up a temporary checkpoint at the entrance to the village before moving toward the al-Waibed Farm junction, where troops established another checkpoint and searched passing vehicles and pedestrians. The force later withdrew from the area.

On Tuesday, Israeli forces advanced along the Wadi al-Raqqad road in the western countryside ofDaraawith a tank and two military vehicles, opening fire toward the valley before withdrawing.

Israel has continued to violatethe 1974 Disengagement Agreementthrough repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests, land bulldozing and shelling.

Syriahas repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that Israeli measures in southern Syria are null and void under international law, and has urged the international community to press for a full Israeli withdrawal from the area.
