Más escuelas conectadas: Gobierno acerca internet de alta velocidad a comunidades educativas
The activity was attended by the First Lady of the Nation, Leticia Ocampos; the ministers Luis Ramírez (MEC), Gustavo Villate (MITIC) and Rodrigo Nicora (Justice), along with national, departmental and municipal authorities.
The project is part of a strategy led by elMITIC, in coordination with elMEC, COPACO, CONATEL and Starlink, to bring connectivity to educational institutions throughout the country, especially in communities with limited access to technological services.
Connectivity that generates opportunities
During the event, President Santiago Peña highlighted that connectivity is a tool to guarantee equal opportunities, allowing students to access the same learning possibilities regardless of where they live.
«Today this school is no longer isolated. “We want all children to have the same opportunities, no matter where they were born.”
For his part, the Minister of Education and Sciences, Luis Ramírez, pointed out that this institution was identified as one of the schools that needed connectivity and valued the joint work that made it possible to respond to that demand.
He indicated that Internet access will strengthen the teaching and learning processes, while promoting responsible use of technology within the educational community.
Technology with social inclusion
As part of this strategy, the Ministry of Justice and WECAFC signed an agreement for the manufacture of metal supports for the installation of satellite antennas. These are prepared by people deprived of liberty, within the framework of job training and social reintegration programs promoted by the Ministry of Justice.
The Minister of Justice, Rodrigo Nicora, highlighted that this initiative demonstrates how the same public policy can integrate reeducation, technological innovation and social inclusion, generating opportunities for both educational communities and those who participate in reintegration programs.
With this action, the Government of Paraguay continues to promote public policies aimed at expanding opportunities and bringing essential services that contribute to the comprehensive development of communities throughout the national territory.

Indicó queel acceso a internet fortalecerá los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje,al tiempo de promover un uso responsable de la tecnología dentro de la comunidad educativa. Tecnología con inclusión social Como parte de esta estrategia, elMinisterio de Justicia y COPACOsuscribieron un convenio para la fabricación de lossoportes metálicosdestinados a la instalación de las antenas satelitales. Estos son elaborados porpersonas privadas de libertad, en el marco de losprogramas de capacitación laboral y reinserción socialimpulsados por el Ministerio de Justicia. El ministro de Justicia,Rodrigo Nicora, destacó que esta iniciativa demuestra cómo una misma política pública puede integrareducación, innovación tecnológica e inclusión social, generando oportunidades tanto para las comunidades educativas como para quienes participan en los programas de reinserción. Con esta acción, el Gobierno del Paraguay continúa impulsando políticas públicas orientadas aampliar oportunidades y acercar servicios esenciales que contribuyan al desarrollo integral de las comunidades en todo el territorio nacional.
