It was noted that the current government has now resumed 26 large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects that had been left incomplete after capital expenditure was halted by previous governments. I also focused on identifying technological solutions to address existing challenges in the procurement of medicines to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential drugs to hospitals, expanding facilities to test the quality of medicines, and programs being implemented with the support of organizations such as UNDP and UNICEF. Particular attention was also given to the technological transformation required within the hospital system. I pointed out that upgrading technological infrastructure and making these facilities accessible to people across the island would significantly enhance the quality of healthcare services. The progress of programs implemented under the Ministry of Mass Media was also reviewed. I further emphasized the need to modernize the Government Printing Department and the Department of Posts to ensure they are aligned with the demands of the modern era.
