Mogadishu, July 8 (SANA)Somalia on Wednesday strongly condemned the twin terrorist bombings near theMinistry of Tourismin Damascus, expressing solidarity with the Syrian government and people.

According to theSomali News Agency(SONNA), the Somali government extended its condolences to the victims’ families, wished the injured a speedy recovery and reaffirmed its rejection of terrorism and violent extremism in all forms.

Somalia also reiterated its commitment to international efforts aimed at combating terrorism and promoting peace, security and stability.

The twin bombings near the Ministry of Tourism killed one person and injured 36 others, including four police officers, prompting widespread regional and international condemnation.
