ANKARA, July 8 (SANA)President Ahmad al-Sharaa met on Wednesday Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the accompanying delegation at the venue of the NATO Summit in the Turkish capital, Ankara, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.

Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, in addition to mechanisms for cooperation on a number of issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, President al-Sharaa arrived in Ankara as the second day of the 36th NATO Summit continued.

President al-Sharaaalso met U.S. PresidentDonald Trumpat the summit venue, where the two leaders discussed Syrian-U.S. relations and ways to strengthen them, alongside regional developments.
