EU condemns attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, warns against U.S.-Iran escalation

Brussels, July 8 (SANA)European Union foreign policy chiefKaja Kallascondemned theIranian attackson Bahrain and Kuwait on Wednesday, describing them as “unacceptable” and warning that escalating tensions between the United States and Iran risk undermining efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East.

In a post on X, Kallas said the latest escalation threatens regional security and weakens international efforts to maintain stability. She saidEUforeign ministers will meet their Gulf counterparts next Monday to discuss support for existing agreements and ways to safeguard freedom of navigation through theStrait of Hormuzand the Red Sea.
