Invitation to Participate for Small Businesses, Artisan Workshops and Creators in “Troodos 3”

The Troodos Fair, an initiative of First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides that has become a flagship event dedicated to supporting and showcasing the mountain communities of Cyprus, returns for its third consecutive year at the Presidential Residence in Troodos.

On Sunday, 6 September 2026, the gardens of the Presidential Residence will once again open to the public, welcoming small businesses, artisan workshops and creators from the wider Troodos region to showcase their work in a unique setting.

The event is once again organised in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus, the Office of the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities of the Republic of Cyprus and the Press and Information Office (PIO) of the Republic of Cyprus

The Troodos Fair is part of a broader initiative to highlight landmark buildings of historical and symbolic significance, such as the Presidential Residence in Troodos, through activities that foster stronger ties with the public, support mountain communities and small businesses, and promote social responsibility.

Small businesses and artisan workshops wishing to participate in the fair are invited to submit an expression of interest, provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Α. Mountain Communities of Cyprus (NSDMC)

Applicants must operate within the area defined by the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities (NSDMC).

They must hold a valid operating license issued by the competent authority, which must be submitted with their application (where applicable).

All food products offered must be pre-packaged and stored under the required conditions.

Creators, artisans and small businesses involved in the production of traditional handicrafts and the practice of traditional crafts, such as Lefkara embroidery “lefkaritika”, multi-coloured woven textiles “fithkiotika”, needle laces “pipilles”, basket weaving, the making of traditional musical instruments and other traditional crafts, are also eligible to participate.

In addition, the following provisions apply:

• Arrival and departure times for the event must be strictly adhered to, as well as any other instructions issued by the organisers.

• A minimum of 10% of proceeds from product sales will be donated to a charitable cause, which will be announced by the organisers.

Depending on the number of businesses expressing interest in participation, selection will be made based on the information and documentation submitted with the application (such as licenses and price list), the area in which the business operates and the categories of products selected by the organisers.

Each participating business or artisan enterprise will be allocated a space and basic equipment for the display of its products.

Applications must be submitted online only [email protected], 3 August 2026,together with a detailed price list of the products to be offered for sale, as well as all necessary certificates confirming that the relevant licenses for the production and distribution of the products are in place (where applicable).

Applications will be evaluated in chronological order of receipt, up to the maximum number of stands permitted by the venue while ensuring the safe circulation of visitors. The date of receipt shall be considered the date on which the application is received at the aforementioned email address.
