During the meeting, detailed information was shared about the next stages of the competition, as well as the conditions and schedule for organizing internships abroad.

Ulugbek Khusainov, Director of the Agency for Governance Efficiency under the President of Uzbekistan, emphasized the significance of the competition and highlighted the need to attract talented young individuals with modern expertise and innovative ideas to agriculture and water management.

The participants discussed their key tasks and highlighted the importance of studying foreign experience. They also emphasized the effective use of the knowledge and skills gained for the development of the field.

In September this year, 10 participants will finish internships at FAO’s headquarters in Rome, a UN agency dedicated to combating hunger, as well as at the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development headquarters.

Another 15 participants will complete internships at the FAO Office in Uzbekistan, while the rest will be gradually enrolled in international internship programs throughout 2027.
