Damascus, July 7 (SANA)Syria’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research signed a memorandum of understanding with French company Ellipse Projects SAS on Tuesday to develop university hospitals and medical education institutions, as part of French President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Syria.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Marwan al-Halabi on the sidelines of Macron’s visit, during which theFrench presidentheld talks with President Ahmad al-Sharaa.

The memorandum aims to modernize university hospitals, strengthen medical education infrastructure, and expand cooperation between Syria and France in higher education and healthcare.
