Olympiades Nationales d'Intelligence Artificielle : Les lauréats distingués
At the end of the first edition of the National Artificial Intelligence Olympics (NOAI), organized on June 27, 2026, 20 young talents were officially distinguished: the 16 best candidates in the general ranking, as well as the 4 best winners, a recognition which reflects the Government's desire to promote the participation of young girls in scientific and digital fields.
On Saturday July 4, at Sèmè One (Sèmè City), they received their preparation kits and are now joining the intensive Bootcamp which will accompany them towards the final selection of the national team. At the end of this journey, 8 young people will represent Benin at the 2026 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, from August 2 to 8 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The kit delivery ceremony was held on Saturday July 4, 2026 in the presence of Mr. Mahuna AKPLOGAN, Minister of Digital Transformation and Innovation, in charge of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, of Mrs. Sèdami MEDEGAN FAGLA, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and of Mr. Clément KOUCHADE, Minister of Secondary Education. Their joint presence demonstrates the resolute commitment of the Government of Benin to the development of digital and scientific skills among Beninese youth, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (SNIAM 2023-2027).
This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Innovation, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Secondary Education. It is implemented by the Sèmè City Development Agency as part of the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (SNIAM 2023-2027), with a strong ambition: to identify, train and support a generation of young people capable of developing the technologies of tomorrow and strengthening Benin's place in the African artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Au terme de ce parcours, 8 jeunes représenteront le Bénin aux Olympiades Internationales d'Intelligence Artificielle 2026, du 2 au 8 août à Astana, au Kazakhstan. La cérémonie de remise des kits s'est tenue le samedi 04 juillet 2026 en présence deMonsieur Mahuna AKPLOGAN, Ministre de la Transformation Digitale et de l'Innovation, en charge de la Stratégie Nationale d'Intelligence Artificielle, de Madame Sèdami MEDEGAN FAGLA, Ministre de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique, et de Monsieur Clément KOUCHADE, Ministre de l'Enseignement Secondaire. Leur présence commune témoigne de l'engagement résolu du Gouvernement du Bénin en faveur du développement des compétences numériques et scientifiques de la jeunesse béninoise, conformément aux orientations de la Stratégie Nationale d'Intelligence Artificielle et des Mégadonnées (SNIAM 2023-2027). Cette initiative est portée par le Ministère de la Transformation Digitale et de l’Innovation, le Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique et le Ministère de l’Enseignement Secondaire. Elle est mise en œuvre par l’Agence de Développement de Sèmè City dans le cadre de la Stratégie Nationale d’Intelligence Artificielle et des Mégadonnées (SNIAM 2023-2027), avec une ambition forte : identifier, former et accompagner une génération de jeunes capables de développer les technologies de demain et de renforcer la place du Bénin dans l’écosystème africain de l’intelligence artificielle.
