London, July 6 (SANA)TenJapan-linked vessels exited theStrait of Hormuzon Monday after months of delays caused by regional conflict andIran‘s closure of the strategic waterway, according to shipping data released by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

Reuters reported that the departing fleet included six very large crude carriers (VLCCs) transporting a combined 12 million barrels of Middle Eastern crude oil, two chemical tankers, one vehicle carrier and one container ship.

LSEG data showed that the tankers were carrying crude oil loaded inSaudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar between late February and early March.

South Korean refiner S-Oil said on Monday that the VLCC Long Wind, carrying crude oil for its refinery, exited the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.

According to LSEG data, the tanker loaded two million barrels of Saudi crude in early March and is expected to arrive in Onsan, South Korea, on July 26.

At least 35 vessels, including oil tankers, container ships and other commercial vessels, transited the Strait of Hormuz on July 2 following the conclusion of talks betweenWashingtonand Tehran in Doha.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on July 1 that Qatari and Pakistani mediators had concluded separate meetings in Doha with U.S. and Iranian negotiators, adding that the talks had made positive progress.kA.ABD
