Sweida governor meets with SAC delegation to discuss community, service matters

Sweida, July 5 (SANA)Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour met on Sunday with a delegation from the Syrian American Council (SAC) to discuss service and development issues in the province, the governorate said.

The meeting focused on community and service conditions in the province, while reviewing the possibility ofSweidabenefiting from the council’s expertise and network of relations, in line with its role in supporting policies and initiatives aimed at achieving stability and prosperity in Syria, according to a governorate statement on Telegram.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to develop service and development conditions in the province, following recent talks between the governor and relevant authorities and international organizations on mechanisms to improve services for citizens and support local economic development, the statement added.

TheSyrian American Council(SAC) is an independent American civil organization that works to empower the Syrian community in the United States and advocate for Syrian issues. The organization represents the Syrian community in the US, providing a platform for Syrian Americans to engage in civic and political life.

On July 3, PresidentAhmad al-Sharaaand First Lady Latifa al-Droubi received a delegation of Syrian women professionals from SAC at the People’s Palace in Damascus, discussing their role in national recovery, education reform and development.
