Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Visits the Ministry of Defence and Approves the Promotion List of Military Officers ……….. Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi visited the Ministry of Defence today, Sunday, where he was received by the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah. Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Al-Zaidi chaired a meeting attended by several military commanders and senior Ministry officers. During the meeting, he received a comprehensive briefing on the Ministry’s plans and the security situation across the various military formations, each within its respective area of responsibility. During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces approved the promotion list of military officers and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all Army officers receive the promotions to which they are entitled. He also commended their efforts, as well as those of all officers and service members, who represent the shield and backbone of the nation. The Prime Minister affirmed that the government attaches great importance to developing the Iraqi Army into a strong and professional force whose foremost doctrine is the defense of Iraq and its people and which is fully capable of carrying out its duties. He stressed that all the requirements of the military institution will be provided to further strengthen its capabilities, noting that the pride and dignity of nations are reflected in the strength of their armed forces. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi stressed that no weapons would be allowed to remain outside state authority and the rule of law. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to combating corruption, drying up its sources, and building a state governed by the rule of law and justice, where citizens enjoy security and stability. ………..
