Transport minister discusses Syria’s investment opportunities with German delegation
Damascus, July 5 (SANA)Syrian Transport MinisterYarub Badrmet with aGerman business delegationon Sunday to discuss investment opportunities in the country’s transport sector, including railways, roads and logistics infrastructure.
The delegation is visiting Syria to explore potential investment opportunities. During the meeting, Badr outlined projects in the railway and road sectors, freight transport, vehicle registration services and related infrastructure that are available for investment.
He said several transport projects are being prepared with technical support from international partners, including the World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as part of efforts to strengthen transparency and create an attractive investment environment.
Badr also highlighted plans to rehabilitate the M45 international highway linking the Nassib border crossing with the Turkish border, describing transport infrastructure as a key pillar of Syria’s economic recovery and regional connectivity.
