Presidente Abinader inaugura techado del Centro Educativo Luis José Antoine para fortalecer la infraestructura escolar
Montecristi.-President Luis Abinaderinaugurated the roof of the Luis José Antoine Educational Center, a work that strengthens the school infrastructure and creates better conditions for the comprehensive training of students.
The work, executed by the Ministry of Education through the Directorate of School Infrastructure, directed by Roberto Herrera, had an investment of RD 32,781,836.52 and will benefit the educational community with a decent, safe and adequate space for sports, cultural, recreational and academic activities.
During the event, the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps García, highlighted that the delivery of this roof does not only represent an infrastructure, but a space called to mark the lives of students and that also educates, because it allows strengthening values such as respect, coexistence, teamwork, humility, dignity and effort.
"Schools teach us that there are spaces that end up marking the lives of those who pass through them. School is not only experienced within the classroom; it is also experienced during recess, in cultural events, in sports and in every experience that helps form better citizens," he expressed.
The minister reiterated that the investment in school infrastructure responds to President Abinader's commitment to continue strengthening education as the most powerful tool to expand opportunities and ensure that each student can develop in dignified, safe and adequate spaces. "The best works are not only those that are built; they are those that many years later continue to be remembered for the lives they helped transform."
On behalf of the students, Hamlet Agustín Santos Sosa, from the sixth grade of primary school, thanked President Abinader and the Ministry of Education for delivering the new roof and pointed out that the work represents an opportunity to continue growing as an institution. He said that the space will allow the center's academic, sports and cultural activities to be strengthened, while he valued that investing in education is investing in the future of the Dominican Republic.

El ministro reiteró que la inversión en infraestructura escolar responde alcompromiso del presidente Abinaderde seguir fortaleciendola educación como la herramienta más poderosapara ampliar oportunidades y asegurar que cada estudiante pueda desarrollarse en espacios dignos, seguros y adecuados.“Las mejores obras no son únicamente las que se construyen; son aquellas que muchos años después siguen siendo recordadas por las vidas que ayudaron a transformar”.
