Erdogan condemns Israeli attacks on Syria and Lebanon
Ankara, July 4 (SANA)Turkish PresidentRecep Tayyip Erdoganon Saturday renewed his condemnation of Israeli attacks onSyriaandLebanon, warning against attempts to drag the region into a broader war.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Istanbul with Pakistani Prime MinisterShehbaz Sharif, Erdogan said Israel’s leadership continues to fuel instability across the region.
“The Zionist massacre team, which ties its political survival to the continuation of conflicts in the region, is leaving neither Lebanon nor Syria in peace,” Erdogan was quoted as saying by Türkiye’s Anadolu Agency. He also accused Israel of continuing “illegal and inhumane” attacks against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Erdogan warned against Israeli provocations aimed at undermining regional understandings and urged the international community not to allow the region to be drawn into renewed conflict.
Commenting on the U.S.-Iran understanding, Erdogan praised Pakistan’s efforts to help facilitate a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, reiterating Türkiye’s support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing regional tensions and resolving disputes through dialogue.
