Saudi interior minister condemns Damascus café bombing, reaffirms support for Syria
Damascus, July 4 (SANA)Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif on Saturday condemned the recentterrorist bombingthat targeted a café in the al-Hijaz area of Damascus, theSyrian Interior Ministrysaid in a statement.
The statement said Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab received a phone call from his Saudi counterpart, who reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Syria and its support for the country’s security and stability.
Khattab thanked the Kingdom for its stance and expressed appreciation for its solidarity and support, emphasizing the close relations between the two countries and the importance of continued security cooperation and coordination to enhance stability and serve their shared interests, the statement said.
The call also focused on ways to strengthensecurity cooperationand coordination between the two interior ministries.
Thursday’s bombing killed 10 civilians and wounded 21 others, drawing widespread regional and international condemnation, with many countries expressing solidarity with Syria.
