Presidente Abinader entrega 400 certificados de títulos de propiedad en Pepillo Salcedo, llevando seguridad jurídica y nuevas oportunidades de desarrollo a unas 1,600 personas
Monte Cristi.–President Luis Abinader delivered this Saturday 400 property title certificates to the same number of beneficiaries in the municipality of Pepillo Salcedo, which will benefit some 1,600 people, strengthening legal security and the assets of favored families.
The project contemplates the issuance of 740 titles and, after this first delivery of 400 certificates, the remaining 340 will be delivered in a second stage.
During the event held at the Municipal Sports Center, President Abinader stated that the municipality of Pepillo Salced is experiencing an unprecedented transformation process with the development of the Manzanillo project and assured that the delivery of property titles will allow hundreds of families to fully integrate into the economic growth of the area.
The president recalled that he met Manzanillo when he was very young and that for decades he observed how the municipality remained stagnant, despite its enormous potential for the bay and the port. In this sense, he pointed out that, from the beginning of his administration, the Government made the decision to promote the Manzanillo development project, which already has an electrical generation plant of more than 400 megawatts and another of 800 megawatts in the process of construction.
Likewise, he announced that the Government is working on the construction of a tourist dock that will allow the arrival of thousands of visitors, complementing the operations of the export port and consolidating Manzanillo as a logistics, industrial and tourist center for the entire region.
The head of state maintained that this development must be accompanied by legal security for citizens, which is why the Government continues with the process of delivering property titles. He explained that about 400 families receive their certificates and that the program will continue as pending legal aspects are resolved.
Management has delivered around 170,000 property titles throughout the national territory
President Abinader indicated that having a property title increases the value of real estate and allows its owners to access the formal financial system, carry out commercial operations and take advantage of the opportunities generated by the economic growth of the area.
The president highlighted that the titling program is developed in different provinces of the country, including Pedernales and Samaná, and recalled that his management has delivered around 170,000 property titles throughout the national territory.
At the end of his speech, President Abinader expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in PepilloSalcedo and assured that the Government will continue working to promote the development of Manzanillo, the Montecristi province and the entire Dominican Republic.
Duarte Méndez highlights the social impact of the degree program
For his part, the executive director of the Technical Execution Unit for State Land Titling (Utect), Duarte Méndez Peña, described the delivery of property title certificates as an act of deep significance for the benefited families, highlighting that this project received permanent monitoring from President Luis Abinader and the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, due to the importance it has for the development of Manzanillo and the entire province of Montecristi.
Méndez Peña affirmed that the president assumed the commitment to make this project a reality, considering that the economic and tourist development of the area requires that families have the legal security provided by a property title. In that sense, he maintained that with this delivery the Government honors its promise to continue bringing the definitive titling of land to the entire national territory.
Likewise, he highlighted that titling constitutes one of the main public policies of the current administration, which is why the teams of the institutions involved work in a coordinated manner to accelerate the processes and guarantee that more families can obtain the document that legally certifies the ownership of their homes and plots.
The official reported that the State Land Titling Technical Execution Unit, together with the General Directorate of National Assets, intervened an area of 1,122,319 square meters to make this project possible. He specified that more than 400 families received their title certificates in this first stage and assured that the process will continue until the remaining deliveries are completed, highlighting that this initiative represents an act of social justice and an opportunity to promote the development of Manzanillo.
On behalf of the benefited families, Irma Vásquez Fortuna expressed her gratitude to President Luis Abinader and the institutions responsible for the titling process for making a long-awaited dream come true, highlighting that the delivery of title certificates provides legal security, tranquility and greater opportunities for the development of the owners.
The blessing of the event was carried out by Father Orlando Barajas Amalla, from the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish, who offered a prayer for the benefited families and asked God to continue guiding the actions aimed at guaranteeing well-being, stability and progress for the community.
