Presidente Abinader entrega remozado Hospital Municipal de Guayubín y nueva área de Emergencia que beneficia de manera directa a más de 39,000 habitantes
Guayubín, Montecristi.–The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, together with the executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Julio Landrón, delivered this Saturday the general renovation of the Municipal Hospital of Guayubín, in the province of Montecristi and a new Emergency area, as part of the actions promoted by the Government to strengthen the Public Health Network and guarantee higher quality care to the population.
The modern emergency area has a waiting and registration room, triage office, treatment area, nebulization room with three chairs, two observation beds and a resuscitation box, to strengthen the response capacity in emergency situations.

The improvements also included 14 hospitalization beds, a pharmacy, a neonatal ward with three cribs, an administrative area, general services, a medicine warehouse, a vaccination area and a morgue, all of which significantly expands the operational capacity of the hospital and raises the quality of the health services that the inhabitants of Guayubín and surrounding communities will receive.
The remodeling of the center will directly benefit the approximately 39,653 inhabitants of the municipality of Guayubín, in addition to thousands of residents of nearby communities who receive services at this hospital.
During the event, the executive director of the SNS, Julio César Landrón, stated that the delivery of the completely renovated hospital reaffirms the firm commitment and will of the government that has invested the most in health, the government of President Luis Abinader, investing with a true human face as the country deserves.
Landrón added that for decades many communities waited for investments that seemed not to arrive and that today it is a reality that is experienced changing day by day with concrete events like this inauguration. Likewise, he expressed that "a more modern, equipped, more humane public network with higher quality service for all Dominicans is being built."
He pointed out that the SNS has assumed the mission of guaranteeing that the quality of medical care does not depend on where people can live or on a particular person, but rather that each citizen has access to decent, timely and safe services. He added that "each hospital that we intervene represents an opportunity to save more lives, strengthen the population's confidence and offer better conditions to both patients and health personnel."
The head of the SNS indicated that, in the province of Montecristi and the entire northwest region, this commitment has translated into important investments to strengthen the public network, among which he cited the Fausto Ovalles Hospital, in Esperanza; the Julio Moronta Municipal Hospital, in Laguna Salada; the San José Francisco Peña Gómez Emergency and Maternity; the Diabetic Foot Unit of the Luis L. Bogaert Hospital; the Municipal Hospital of Villa Los Almácigos, in Santiago Rodríguez; the Municipal Hospital of Partido; the Ramón Adriano Villalona Municipal Emergency, of Loma de Cabrera, currently in the process of renovation; the new Matías Ramón Mella Hospital, in Dajabón; the Doctor Julio Álvaro Acosta Municipal Hospital, with a modern Emergency area, and the Padre Fantino Provincial Hospital.
Likewise, he highlighted that specialized services such as the mental health area, the oncology unit, the diabetic foot unit and the hemodialysis unit were incorporated, "bringing together care that previously forced many patients to travel to distant places to receive it and today they have it in their community."
Landrón added that these actions are accompanied by important equipment investments of more than 35 million destined for four health facilities in the province, including first-level care centers and municipal hospitals, strengthening their capacity and improving the quality of the services that users receive.
Concluding his words, he expressed: "Here the work of José Francisco Peña Gómez is being fulfilled and it is being fulfilled by President Luis Abinader," after highlighting that the president delivers to Guayubín a completely renovated hospital, called to serve so that the population receives health care in decent conditions.
Quality health as the province of Montecristi deserves

The work included a total investment of RD 138,246,715.12, of which RD 65,618,275.22 were allocated to the renovation of the infrastructure, RD 40,030,488.56 to the construction of a new emergency area and RD 32,597,951.34 to the equipment of the health facility.
The blessing of the event was carried out by Pastor Oniel Vargas of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

La moderna área de emergencia dispone de sala de espera y registro, consultorio de triaje, área de curas, sala de nebulización con tres sillones, dos camas de observación y un box de reanimación, para fortalecer lacapacidad de respuesta ante situaciones de urgencia. Asimismo, el hospital fue equipado con cuatro consultorios de medicina general, consultorios de odontología y ginecología, servicios de sonografía, rayos X, laboratorio y toma de muestras, además de un quirófano, sala de partos, área de esterilización, sala de preparación con dos camas y sala de recuperación y observación con dos camas. Las mejoras también incluyeron14 camas de internamiento, farmacia, sala de neonatos con tres cunas, área administrativa, servicios generales, almacén de medicamentos, área de vacunación y morgue, todo lo cual amplía significativamente lacapacidad operativa del hospitaly eleva la calidad de los servicios de salud que recibirán los habitantes de Guayubín y comunidades aledañas. Señaló que desde el SNS han asumido la misión de garantizarque la calidad de atención médica no dependa del lugar donde la gente pueda vivirni de una persona en particular, sino que cada ciudadano tenga acceso aservicios dignos, oportunos y seguros. Añadió que"cada hospital que intervenimos representa una oportunidad para salvar más vidas, fortalecer la confianza de la población y ofrecer mejores condiciones tanto a los pacientes como al personal de salud". El titular del SNS indicó que, en la provincia de Montecristi y toda la región noroeste, ese compromiso se ha traducido enimportantes inversiones para fortalecer la red pública, entre las que citó el Hospital Fausto Ovalles, de Esperanza; el Hospital Municipal Julio Moronta, de Laguna Salada; la Emergencia y Maternidad San José Francisco Peña Gómez; la Unidad de Pie Diabético del Hospital Luis L. Bogaert; el Hospital Municipal de Villa Los Almácigos, en Santiago Rodríguez; el Hospital Municipal de Partido; la Emergencia Municipal Ramón Adriano Villalona, de Loma de Cabrera, actualmente en proceso de remozamiento; el nuevo Hospital Matías Ramón Mella, de Dajabón; el Hospital Municipal Doctor Julio Álvaro Acosta, con una moderna área de Emergencia, y el Hospital Provincial Padre Fantino. Asimismo, destacó quese incorporaron servicios especializadoscomo el área de salud mental, la unidad oncológica, la unidad de pie diabético y la unidad de hemodiálisis,"acercando atenciones que obligaban antes a muchos pacientes a trasladarse a lejanos lugares para poder recibirlas y hoy las tienen en su comunidad".
