Syria takes part in Arab pharma & medical supplies conference of Amman

Amman, July 4 (SANA)A delegation from theSyrian Ministry of Healthtook part in theAUPAMConference held in Amman, bringing together leading pharmaceutical companies and experts to discuss the future of the Arabpharmaceutical industry.

Deputy Minister of Health, Hani Baghdadi, said on the ministry’s Telegram channel on Saturday, that the conference explores opportunities for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer to support the development of Syria’s pharmaceutical sector, enhance the production of high‑quality medicines, and strengthen the competitiveness of Syrian products in regional markets.

He affirmed the ministry’s commitment to advancing the pharmaceutical industry as a pillar of health security and economic development, highlighting ongoing efforts to establish a modern regulatory environment, including the foundation of theSyrian Drug Authority.

During the visit, the delegation toured several pharmaceutical factories and quality‑analysis companies to exchange expertise and benefit from diverse regional experiences.

The AUPAM Conference serves as a specialized Arab platform aimed at strengthening collaboration and integration among pharmaceutical manufacturers and regulatory bodies across the region.
