Kinshasa, July 4(SANA)The number of confirmedEbolacases in the Democratic Republic ofCongo⁠has increased to 1,502.

Reuters reported that government data released on Friday showed that the number of confirmed Ebola cases increased to 1,502, and 473 people have died from thedisease.

The confirmed cases have been reported in the eastern provinces of Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu, where health authorities continue efforts to contain the outbreak and prevent further transmission.

A previous toll by theWorld Health Organization, announced the death of at least 452 people due to infection with the “Ebola” virus in Congo, which is facing an accelerating outbreak.
