The Hague, July 4 ( SANA)The Syrian Ministry of Interior participated Saturday in a specialized training course hosted by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in TheHague, Netherlands.

The Ministry of Interiorannounced on its Telegram channel that its delegation comprised Brigadier General Samer Al-Hussein, Advisor to the Minister of Interior for Legal Affairs and Human Rights, and Brigadier General Naif Abdul Majeed, Director of theCounter-Terrorism Department, along with representatives from relevant national ministries and agencies.

According to the Ministry, the course focuses on enhancing national capabilities to counter threats related to chemical weapons, familiarizing participants with the latest international practices and procedures, and exchanging expertise with the Organization’s experts and member states.
