Amman, July 4 (SANA)A delegation fromSyria’s Ministry of Energyparticipated in theWater for Peace Dialoguesheld inJordan, joining regional discussions aimed at boosting cooperation on water security and sustainable water resource management.

The meetings were organized by the Blue Peace initiative and the Water Diplomacy Institute at Jordan University of Science and Technology, with participation from delegations representing Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Türkiye.

The dialogue focused on exchanging expertise and experiences, addressing key regional challenges facing the water sector, and exploring best practices in sustainable water management to support water security, strengthen regional cooperation, and promote peace.

The Energy Ministry said Syria’s participation reflects its commitment to expanding engagement in regional and international water forums and enhancing cooperation and knowledge-sharing in support of the country’s water sector development priorities.
