Supporting agriculture does not mean promising "free tractors for every farmer" in the squares and then saying "we did that for advertising", as the opposition does. Unfortunately, the main opposition is not even aware of the level that agriculture has reached in the world and in Turkey. They and their mentality are as much a museum piece as the tractor they ride on. This museum mentality is not good for the country, the nation, or our farmers. What did our ancestors say? “You cannot make a baklava from millet flour, or a rolling pin from a fig tree.” The main opposition, old and new, will not benefit the agriculture of this country. When we look at the simplicity of the issues they deal with and argue about, we can all see that they are not good for themselves, let alone the nation.

Tarıma destek olmak, muhalefetin yaptığı gibi meydanlarda “her çiftçiye bedava traktör” sözü verip sonra “biz onu reklam olsun diye yaptık” demek değildir. Maalesef ana muhalefetin, dünyada ve Türkiye’de tarımın geldiği seviyeden haberi bile yok. Kendileri de zihniyetleri de üzerine bindikleri traktör kadar müzelik. Bu müzelik zihniyetin ne ülkeye ne millete ne çiftçilerimize hayrı olur. Ne demiş atalarımız? “Darı unundan baklava, incir ağacından oklava olmaz.” Eskisiyle yenisiyle ana muhalefetten de bu ülkenin tarımına fayda gelmez. Zaten uğraştıkları, didiştikleri konuların basitliğine baktığımızda bırakın milleti, kendilerine bile hayırlarının olmadığını hepimiz görebiliyoruz.
