The delegation was welcomed by the Minister for Agriculture of Punjab, Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Kirmani.
On the first day of the visit, talks were held with representatives of several Pakistani government agencies and major companies to attract investment, expand trade and economic cooperation, and implement promising projects.
A meeting was also held with the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.
The parties discussed prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture, the textile industry, and pharmaceuticals.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a roadmap for implementing the agreements reached.
The Karakalpakstan – Punjab Business Forum was held at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where the investment potential of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the favorable conditions created for doing business were presented.
Following the event, B2B meetings were held, and agreements were reached in trade, economic and investment spheres.
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In addition, during a meeting with the management of SK Livestock Foods, the parties discussed establishing food production facilities in Karakalpakstan.
During the visit, talks were also held with CCL Pharma Company on establishing new production facilities in Karakalpakstan.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Multan University of Agriculture to develop bilateral cooperation, exchange scientific expertise, and improve the qualifications of specialists.
