ETED inicia este sábado trabajos de reconducción de línea de 69 kV en Puerto Plata para fortalecer la infraestructura eléctrica de la provincia
Puerto Plata.- The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) reported that this Saturday, July 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., it will begin the work of reconducting the 69 kV transmission line from the Puerto Plata I substation to the Puerto Plata II substation, a strategic intervention aimed at strengthening the electrical infrastructure of the province and increasing the energy transportation capacity for respond to the growth in demand in the area.
Reconduction consists of replacing existing conductors with others of greater capacity, which will increase energy transportation, improve the reliability of the transmission network, reduce technical losses and offer a more stable and efficient electrical service in the northern part of the country.
To carry out these tasks, it will be necessary to intervene in the electrical service in the communities of Puerto Plata, Cristo Rey, Padre Las Casas, Montemar urbanization, Los Mameyes, Ensanche Dubeau, Florida urbanization, Arcoíris urbanization and Gregorio Luperón urbanization, belonging to the Puerto Plata province.
As part of the project planning, the ETED previously held a socialization day with authorities and representatives of different institutions in the province, with the purpose of presenting the scope of the work, coordinating the actions necessary for its execution and guaranteeing adequate inter-institutional coordination.
Participating in the meeting were Wascar Liriano, director of Maintenance and Infrastructure; Pedro Valdez, member of the Board of Directors; Seily Liberato, director of Strategic Communication; Lieutenant Colonel José M. Almánzar Sosa, FARD (DEM), coordinator of the Northern Regional, representing military security, and Jhonatan Hernández, manager of the Northern Zone. Likewise, representatives of the Senate, the Provincial Government, the Mayor's Office, the National Police, the Civil Defense, the Association for the Development of the Province of Puerto Plata (ADP) and other support institutions attended.
The work will be carried out on four consecutive Saturdays, at the same time from 7:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, as part of the program to modernize and strengthen the transmission infrastructure carried out by the ETED.
The institution appreciates the understanding of citizens for the temporary inconveniences that these tasks may cause. These actions will contribute to strengthening the reliability of the transmission system, preventing future breakdowns and guaranteeing a more robust, resilient electrical infrastructure prepared to accompany the development of Puerto Plata.
The ETED is the state company responsible for the transportation of high-voltage electrical energy, the operation of the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI) and the expansion of the transmission network, committed as an enabler of the energy and digital transition of the Dominican Republic.

Como parte de la planificación del proyecto, la ETED realizó previamente unajornada de socializacióncon autoridades y representantes de distintas instituciones de la provincia, con el propósito de presentar el alcance de los trabajos, coordinar las acciones necesarias para su ejecución y garantizar una adecuadaarticulación interinstitucional. En el encuentro participaronWascar Liriano, director de Mantenimiento e Infraestructura;Pedro Valdez, miembro del Consejo Directivo;Seily Liberato, directora de Comunicación Estratégica; el teniente coronelJosé M. Almánzar Sosa, FARD (DEM), coordinador de la Regional Norte, en representación de la seguridad militar, yJhonatan Hernández, gerente de la Zona Norte. Asimismo, asistieron representantes de la Senaduría, la Gobernación Provincial, la Alcaldía, la Policía Nacional, la Defensa Civil, la Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Provincia de Puerto Plata (ADP) y otras instituciones de apoyo. Los trabajos se desarrollarán durantecuatro sábados consecutivos, en el mismo horario de 7:00 de la mañana a 4:00 de la tarde, como parte del programa de modernización y fortalecimiento de la infraestructura de transmisión que ejecuta la ETED. La instituciónagradece la comprensión de la ciudadaníapor los inconvenientes temporales que estas labores puedan ocasionar. Estas acciones contribuirán a fortalecer la confiabilidad del sistema de transmisión, prevenir averías futuras y garantizar una infraestructura eléctrica más robusta, resiliente y preparada para acompañar el desarrollo de Puerto Plata.
