Damascus, July 2 (SANA)The Syrian Arab Republic on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a café in the capital, Damascus, killing nine civilians and injuring several others.

In a statement on Thursday, theSyrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriatesdescribed the attack as a heinous terrorist act, reaffirming that it would not deter Syria from continuing efforts to protect its citizens, strengthen security and stability, combat terrorism, and preserve civil peace.

The statement extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
