Israeli artillery shells areas in southern Syria; no casualties reported
Daraa, July 2 (SANA)Israeli occupation forces shelled several areas in southern Syria on Wednesday night, targeting locations in Daraa and Quneitra provinces, local residents said.Residents told SANA that artillery rounds struck near the villages of Abidin and Jamla in theYarmouk Basinin western Daraa province, as well as agricultural land between the towns of Bariqa and Kodna in southern Quneitra province.A SANA correspondent in Daraa said one shell landed nearAbidin villageand another hit farmland near Jamla village. The report added that Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were flying over the area during the shelling.In Quneitra, SANA’s reporter said three artillery shells landed on farmland between Bariqa and Kodna without causing injuries.The villages, located near the armistice line with the Israeli-occupied Golan, have been subjected to repeated Israeli aggressions including shelling and incursions, disrupting civilian life and agricultural activity.
