Damascus, July.3 (SANA)United Nations Secretary-GeneralAntónio Guterresvoiced deep concern on Thursday over the explosion near thePalace of Justicein Damascus.

The Secretary-General extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and expressed his sympathy with those injured, wishing them a full and speedy recovery.

Guterres reiterated that attacks targeting civilians are unacceptable, emphasizing  the need to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

He also took note  of the Syrian authorities’ commitment to investigating the attack.
