Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Meets High-Level Jordanian Ministerial Delegation ……….. Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met today, Thursday, with a high-level ministerial delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, headed by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Falah Al-Qudah. The delegation included the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Minister of Transport, and the Minister of Investment, in the presence of Iraq’s Minister of Industry and Minerals, the Head of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq. The meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them advancing the implementation of the Basra–Aqaba Oil Pipeline Project, facilitating visa procedures for businesspeople in both countries, and strengthening cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, transport, investment, and other sectors of mutual interest. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi affirmed that Iraq and Jordan are bound by longstanding and distinguished relations and that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan represents an important strategic depth for Iraq. He also expressed the government’s aspiration to elevate bilateral relations to new levels by expanding bilateral trade and creating greater opportunities for investment and economic cooperation across various sectors. The members of the Jordanian delegation conveyed to Prime Minister Al-Zaidi the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on the formation of the government, and delivered an official invitation for the Prime Minister to visit the Kingdom. For his part, Minister Yarub Al-Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s full support for Iraq and commended the progress Iraq has achieved in combating corruption, advancing economic reforms, and improving the investment environment, thereby further strengthening the partnership between the two brotherly countries. ………..
