Qatari, Pakistani mediators conclude talks with U.S., Iranian negotiators in Doha

Islamabad, July 2 (SANA)Qatari and Pakistani mediators held separate meetings withU.S.and Iranian negotiators in Doha on Thursday, with the parties reporting progress on issues related to the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, according to thePakistani Foreign Ministry.

The Ministry said in a statement on X that discussions built on understandings reached at the Lake Lucerne Summit and described the talks as making “positive progress” on issues linked to the memorandum.

It said the parties agreed to continue negotiations in the coming period, with the next round of talks to be scheduled as soon as possible after the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s former supreme leader.

The meetings follow the Lake Lucerne Summit in Switzerland last month, where U.S. and Iranian negotiators, with mediation byQatarand Pakistan, agreed to continue technical and political talks under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
