Beirut, July 2 (SANA)Syrian Foreign Minister and ExpatriatesAsaad Hassan al-Shaibanimet Lebanese Parliament SpeakerNabih BerriinBeiruton Thursday to discuss issues of mutual interest and the latest regional developments.

The meeting was held as part of al-Shaibani’s official visit toLebanon, during which he has held talks with senior Lebanese officials on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier on Thursday, al-Shaibani met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral ties, economic cooperation and regional developments, with Syria and Lebanon agreeing to establish a joint ministerial committee to strengthen cooperation across a range of sectors.
