His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call today from his brother, His Excellency President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic.

During the call, they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries, the prospects for enhancing joint cooperation, and ways to support and develop them to achieve common interests between the two brotherly countries.

Developments in the situation in the region were also discussed, especially developments in the negotiating track between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the two parties, and the efforts made to advance diplomatic solutions, in a way that contributes to enhancing regional security and stability.

During the call, His Highness the Emir stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the countries of the region, and supporting regional and international efforts aimed at strengthening the truce and preserving the security and stability of the region, in a way that achieves the interests of its peoples.
