Berlin, July 1, (SANA)TheChargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Berlin,Mohammad Baraa Shukri, handed over Syria’s instrument of ratification of the Statute of theInternational Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)to Hans Kuppel, Director of External Energy Policy at the German Foreign Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry said that the deposit ceremony took place at the German Foreign Ministry headquarters in Berlin.

This step confirms Syria’s completion of the procedures related to joining IRENA’s Statute and strengthens its presence within international frameworks of cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
