Foreign Ministry discusses boosting economic cooperation with UK delegation
Damascus, July 2 (SANA)Hamza al-Mustafa, Advisor for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Sally Shobat,Director of the Department of European Affairs, met on Wednesday with a delegation comprising members of theUK House of Commons, representatives of British institutions focused on theMiddle East, and representatives of the Syrian British Business Council (SBBC) to discuss ways of strengthening relations between the two countries.
The two sides reviewed the development of Syrian-British relations and stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere, through the Syrian-British Business Council.
The meeting also addressed the main challenges facing the new Syria, foremost among them the Israeli violations.
