La República Dominicana será sede del Americas Investment Forum 2026 para impulsar la inversión y el comercio regional
Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Republic will be the host country of the Americas Investment Forum (AIF) 2026, the main space for dialogue on investment, trade and innovation in the Americas.
The AIF 2026, organized by the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), will bring together representatives of Governments, multinational corporations, investment promotion agencies (IPAs), multilateral organizations and international financial institutions.
The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will participate in the opening ceremony, in which investment companies from the country will be recognized; As a guest lecturer, Dr. Ricardo Hausmann, from Harvard's Growth Lab, and the main authorities of the event.
The purpose of the forum is to promote strategic alliances, facilitate new investment flows towards high-impact projects and analyze the trends that are redefining the continent's economy.
Official delegations and representatives of the public and private sector from more than 52 countries will participate, including the United States, Spain, India, Saudi Arabia, China, Suriname, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Germany, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Paraguay, Colombia, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Panama. Its presence will allow promoting regional investment corridors, strengthening productive chains, promoting nearshoring and generating new opportunities for economic cooperation.
The agenda includes keynote conferences, plenary sessions, high-level panels and specialized technical tables. Likewise, during the event the delivery of the Recognition of Investment in the Dominican Republic 2026 will be celebrated, an institutional distinction that recognizes foreign companies for their contribution to the development of the country through innovation, sustainability, job creation and the transfer of knowledge.
The executive director of ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, highlighted: "Hosting the Americas Investment Forum 2026 confirms that the Dominican Republic is the connecting axis of business in our region. The eyes of the investment world in the Americas are on our country. We have consolidated ourselves as one of the main destinations for investment in Latin America and the Caribbean, reaching a record foreign direct investment of USD 5,032 million in 2025."
AIF 2026 will bring together leaders of the global investment ecosystem, will feature 95 panelists and international conferences, taking place through more than 28 high-level sessions and will promote business meetings focused on strategic sectors such as sustainable tourism, advanced manufacturing, energy transition, infrastructure, logistics, creative industries and artificial intelligence.
Referring to the impact of the meeting, Riveiro Disla stated: “The Dominican Republic opens its doors to global capital to continue building opportunities, strengthening strategic alliances and uniting the economies of the Americas.”
