Infotep presenta nueva edición de la revista Avance FTP como plataforma para la innovación
Santo Domingo.-The National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep) reaffirmed its commitment to scientific research, innovation and the generation of knowledge by presenting volume 2 of the magazine Avance FTP (Avance de la Formación Técnico-Profesional) and developing an academic program dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on research and sustainable development.
Scientific publication strengthens the dissemination of research aimed at improving the quality, relevance and responsiveness of technical-professional training to the demands of the national productive apparatus.
During the opening of the activity, the general director of Infotep, Maira Morla Pineda, highlighted that research constitutes one of the strategic pillars for institutional development and the transformation of technical-professional training.
"This Research Conference confirms that Infotep has reached full maturity in the field of technical-professional research, raising the relevance and academic level of our institution. Our Technical-Professional Training Research Agenda aligns studies with the needs of the productive sectors and strengthens institutional decision-making."
Morla Pineda also highlighted that the publication of the new issue of Avance FTP represents an important step in the consolidation of an institutional research culture, supported by initiatives such as specialized training in scientific methodology, the production of more than 230 didactic manuals with their own copyrights and a research agenda aligned with the needs of national development.
The programming included the keynote conference “Governance and Organizational Transformation in Artificial Intelligence Projects: the role of Human-in-the-Loop”, given by specialist Teresa Correas, who addressed the need to integrate human supervision in artificial intelligence processes to guarantee ethical, transparent decisions oriented to the well-being of people.
Likewise, the panel “Research in the era of knowledge and artificial intelligence: engine of innovation and sustainable development” was developed, with the participation of Dr. Jesús Andújar, executive director of the Dominican Institute for Evaluation and Research of Educational Quality (IDEICE); Dr. Adrián Gutiérrez, in charge of Research at that institution, and doctor Carmen Consuelo López, academic vice-rector of the Catholic University of Santo Domingo, who analyzed the role of research as a tool to strengthen innovation, competitiveness and development sustainable.
With this initiative organized by the Department of Research and Scientific Production headed by Sonia Sánchez Valdez, Infotep continues to strengthen its research ecosystem, promoting the generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge as an essential component to respond to the challenges of technological transformation and contribute to the development of human talent that the country demands.

Nuestra Agenda de Investigación de la Formación Técnico-Profesional alinea los estudios con las necesidades de los sectores productivos y fortalece la toma de decisiones institucionales”. Morla Pineda resaltó además que la publicación del nuevo número de Avance FTP representa un paso importante en la consolidación de unacultura institucional de investigación,respaldada por iniciativas como la formación especializada en metodología científica, la producción demás de 230 manuales didácticoscon derechos de autor propios y una agenda de investigación alineada con las necesidades del desarrollo nacional. La programación incluyó la conferencia magistral“Gobernanza y Transformación Organizativa en Proyectos de Inteligencia Artificial: el papel del Human-in-the-Loop”,impartida por la especialistaTeresa Correas, quien abordó la necesidad de integrar la supervisión humana en los procesos de inteligencia artificial para garantizar decisioneséticas, transparentes y orientadas al bienestarde las personas. Asimismo, se desarrolló el panel“La investigación en la era del conocimiento y la inteligencia artificial: motor de innovación y desarrollo sostenible”,con la participación deldoctor Jesús Andújar, director ejecutivo del Instituto Dominicano de Evaluación e Investigación de la Calidad Educativa (IDEICE);el doctor Adrián Gutiérrez, encargado de Investigación de esa institución, y ladoctora Carmen Consuelo López,vicerrectora académica de la Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo, quienes analizaron el papel de la investigación como herramienta para fortalecerla innovación, la competitividad y el desarrollo sostenible. Con esta iniciativa organizada por el Departamento de Investigación y Producción Científica a cargo deSonia Sánchez Valdez, el Infotep continúa fortaleciendo su ecosistema de investigación, promoviendo la generación y divulgación del conocimiento científico como un componente esencial para responder a los retos de la transformación tecnológica y contribuir aldesarrollo del talento humanoque demanda el país.
