Damascus, June 30 (SANA)President Ahmadal-Sharaareceived Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Zain, Bader al-Kharafi, and the accompanying delegation at the People’s Palace in Damascus, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassanal-Shaibani, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Haykal, and a number of senior officials.

President al-Sharaa welcomed the agreement signed between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Zain Group, which paves the way for the company’s entry into the Syrian market.

The President said the agreement would contribute to developing Syria’s telecommunications sector and strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.
