A successful State Visit by the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, came to a close yesterday as he departed Seychelles after serving as Guest of Honour for the nation's 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations.

Vice President Sebastien Pillay was at Seychelles International Airport to bid farewell to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi joined President Dr Patrick Herminie for the Golden Jubilee Independence celebrations and other official engagements, including bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between Seychelles and India.

The visit highlighted the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries, reinforcing their shared commitment to expanding cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
