Arab Parliament condemns Israeli attacks on Syria, voices full support
Cairo, June 30 (SANA)TheArab ParliamentcondemnedIsraeli aggressionand repeated incursions intoSyrian territory, describing them as violations of Syria’s sovereignty and breaches of the U.N. Charter and international law.
In a statement posted on X on Monday, Arab Parliament SpeakerMohammed bin Ahmed al- Yamahidenounced Israeli artillery shelling targeting the southern Syrian provinces ofQuneitraandDaraa.
Al-Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Syria and its support for measures aimed at safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
He called on the international community and the U.N. Security Council to take immediate action to halt the attacks, warning that continued military escalation could further destabilize the region.
The Arab Parliament also reiterated its support for Syria’s unity and stability, describing the country’s security as an essential pillar of Arab national security.
Syria has condemned the Israeli aggressions, saying they undermine efforts to promote security and stability, increase civilian suffering and risk further escalation. It has called on the United Nations and the international community to end the violations and ensure compliance with the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
