DECRET Nº100/ 083 DU 29 JUIN 2026 PORTANT NOMINATION D’UN ADMINISTRATEUR REPRESENTANT L’ETAT DU BURUNDI AU CONSEIL D’ADMINISTRATION DE LA SOCIETE BURUNDI AIRLINES, S M
The President of the Republic of Burundi and current President of the African Union, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, received in a farewell audience Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Ambassador of Sudan to Burundi with residence in Kampala.
The discussions focused on the state of bilateral relations between Burundi and Sudan, as well as several issues of common interest, particularly in terms of security and cooperation.
The Sudanese Ambassador called for the establishment of a permanent mechanism of mutual assistance and collaboration between the two States in order to strengthen their partnership and provide mutually beneficial support to their peoples.
He also requested the support of the Burundian Head of State, in his capacity as current President of the African Union, for the full reintegration of Sudan into the African Union.
At the end of his diplomatic mission, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed expressed his gratitude to President Évariste Ndayishimiye for the support and cooperation he received. In return, the Head of State thanked him for his commitment and wished him every success in his future functions.

Le Président de la République du Burundi et Président en exercice de l’Union Africaine , Son Excellence Evariste Ndayishimiye , a reçu en audience d’adieu Monsieur Ahmed Ibrahim, Ambassadeur du Soudan au Burundi avec résidence à Kampala. Les échanges ont porté sur l’état des relations bilatérales entre le Burundi et le Soudan, ainsi que sur plusieurs questions d’intérêt commun, notamment en matière de sécurité et de coopération. L’Ambassadeur soudanais a plaidé pour la mise en place d’un mécanisme permanent d’entraide et de collaboration entre les deux États afin de renforcer leur partenariat et Apporter un soutien mutuellement avantageux à leurs peuples . Il a également sollicité l’appui du Chef de l’État burundais, en sa qualité de Président en exercice de l’Union africaine, en faveur de la réintégration pleine et entière du Soudan au sein de l’Union africaine. Au terme de sa mission diplomatique, M. Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed a exprimé sa gratitude au Président Évariste Ndayishimiye pour le soutien et la coopération dont il a bénéficié. En retour, le Chef de l’État lui a adressé ses remerciements pour son engagement et lui a souhaité plein succès dans ses futures fonctions.
