Arab League condemns Israeli attacks on Syrian territory
Cairo, June 29 (SANA)Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Monday strongly condemned Israeli attacks and repeated incursions into Syrian territory, theArab Leaguesaid in a statement.
Aboul Gheit said the attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and a blatant breach ofinternational law, according to a statement published on X by the league’s press office.

Gamal Roshdy, the secretary-general’s official spokesman, said Israel’s continuedviolationsthreaten to ignite the entire region, expand conflict fronts and undermine efforts to restore security and stability, according to the statement.
Roshdy said the international community cannot accept the “terrorism of force” practiced by Israel, and called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibility in putting an end to these aggressive practices and compelling Israel to abide by the1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
On Sunday,Israeli occupationforces entered the village of Abidin in the westernDaraacountryside, targeting the village and its surroundings with helicopter machine-gun fire and artillery shells, causing some residents to flee their homes toward neighboring villages.
Syria has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks, stating that their continuation undermines efforts to establish security and stability, exacerbates civilian suffering, and portends further escalation and tension in the region. Damascus has called on the United Nations and theinternational communityto assume their responsibilities, work to halt these violations, and ensure respect for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
