Kuwait condemns Israeli attacks, reaffirms support for Syria’s sovereignty
DAMASCUS, June 29 (SANA)– Kuwait has strongly condemned the continued attacks and violations carried out by Israeli occupation forces inside Syrian territory, including the latest incursions into the provinces of Quneitra and Daraa and the shelling of both areas, according to a statement issued by Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
The ministry said the continuation of such practices undermines efforts aimed at preserving security and stability and reflects disregard for the relevant international agreements, foremost of which the1974 Disengagement Agreement.
It reaffirmedKuwait‘s longstanding support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
On Sunday, Israeli occupation forces entered the village of Abdin in western Daraa countryside. Israeli helicopters opened machine-gun fire on the village and its surroundings, while artillery shelling targeted the area, forcing some residents to flee their homes to nearby villages.
