Beijing, June 29 (SANA) Thirteen people were injured after a 5.5-magnitudeearthquakestruck Gaoxian County in Yibin city, Sichuan Province, in southwestChinaon Monday, local authorities said.

According to Xinhua News Agency, all of the injuries were minor. The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, while 196 people were evacuated as emergency response and relief operations continued.

The China Earthquake Networks Center said the earthquake struck on Monday morningBeijingtime. The epicenter was located at 28.50 degrees north latitude and 104.69 degrees east longitude, at a depth of six kilometers.
