Doha, June 29 (SANA)Qatar on Monday condemnedIsraeli military aggressionin Syria’s southern provinces ofQuneitraandDaraa, along with accompanying artillery shelling, describing the actions as a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and international law.

In a statement on X, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Israeli military aggression constituted a serious breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

The ministry warned that the continued attacks would further escalate regional tensions and undermine efforts to promote security and stability.

It called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by deterring Israel, ensuring its compliance with international law and holding it accountable for its repeated violations and attacks.

Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Syria, reiterating its support for the country’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, as well as efforts to achieve security and stability for the Syrian people.

On Sunday,Israeli occupation forcestargeted the village ofAbidinin Daraa countryside and its surrounding areas with artillery fire and helicopter-mounted machine guns. The attacks caused no casualties or material damage but triggered panic among residents, prompting a limited number of families to flee to nearby towns.
