Qatar, Jordan and Lebanon condemn Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait

Capitals, June 28 (SANA)Qatar, Jordan and Lebanonon Sunday condemned renewedIranian missile and drone attackson Bahrain and Kuwait, describing them as violations of the two countries’ sovereignty and threats to regional security and stability.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministrycondemned the attacks and reaffirmed its support for all measures taken by Bahrain and Kuwait to protect their sovereignty and security.

In a statement, the ministry called for preventing further escalation, urging all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy and build on the existing memorandum of understanding to strengthen regional and international security and stability.

Lebanese President Joseph Aounalso condemned the attacks, saying they undermine regional and international efforts to end the conflict and contain tensions. He called on the international community to act to prevent further escalation and reaffirmed Lebanon’s solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait.

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriatesdescribed the attacks as a violation of the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Bahrain and Kuwait and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The ministry reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait and its support for measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their sovereignty and security.

Earlier on Sunday, Bahrain and Kuwait reported missile and drone attacks amid heightened regional tensions.
