An official luncheon hosted by President Dr Patrick Herminie in honour of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, His Excellency Dr Navin Ramgoolam, took place today at Eden Bleu Hotel as part of Seychelles' 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

Prime Minister Ramgoolam is among the distinguished guests invited to Seychelles to participate in the nation's Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The luncheon, which was also attended by First Lady Mrs Veronique Herminie and Vice President Sebastien Pillay, provided an opportunity for President Herminie and Prime Minister Ramgoolam to exchange views on matters of mutual interest while further strengthening the longstanding friendship and close cooperation between Seychelles and Mauritius.

Seychelles and Mauritius continue to enjoy warm and enduring bilateral relations, founded on shared regional interests and cooperation across a wide range of sectors. The luncheon reflected the close ties between the two neighbouring island nations and their shared commitment to continued collaboration.
