Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received today, Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed the recent agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States that brought an end to the war between the two countries, as well as international and regional efforts to promote security and stability and uphold the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi affirmed that Iraq supports prioritizing an end to wars and adopting dialogue and negotiations as the path toward strengthening stability in the region, noting that this would create greater opportunities for development and prosperity for the peoples of the region. For his part, Foreign Minister Araghchi reaffirmed his country’s support for Iraq and its commitment to continued coordination and cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations.
