Jeddah, June 28 (SANA)A Syrian delegation led by Agriculture MinisterBasel al-Suwaidantook part on Sunday in the opening ofSaudi Water WeekinJeddah, amid broad Arab and international participation.

The delegation included Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity and Water AffairsOsama Abu Zeid.

The event, held from June 28 to July 2, brings together policymakers, experts, researchers and private-sector representatives to discusswater security, sustainable management and cooperation in the sector.

Saudi Water Week includes the Arab Water Forum and the second stakeholder consultation meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, which is scheduled to be held inRiyadhin 2027.

The conference is expected to feature more than 97 panel discussions, technical workshops and presentations on water-sector development, innovation and investment opportunities.

The event aims to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen partnerships and support sustainable water solutions in line with regional and international efforts to address water challenges.
